Welcome to 36605 the D.I.P. Peninsula!
Welcome to 36605 the D.I.P. Peninsula!
THE D.I.P. COMMUNITY NEWS & RESOURCES MAGAZINE was created to spotlight a somewhat secluded area of Mobile Alabama’s largest waterfront community.
The D.I.P. Peninsula is surrounded by Mobile Bay on its East banks and Dog River along it’s South and West banks. The Peninsula can only be accessed from three roads, or by water.
Most of the growth in Mobile Alabama has been in West Mobile. Midtown Mobile has experienced a surge of redevelopment as have other communities in Mobile.
The Dauphin Island Parkway (D.I.P.) Peninsula has been in a state of decline for a number of years but that is about to change.
Actually, there have been several improvements which have already been accomplished and plans for more developments that too many people haven’t heard about.
We’ve heard some exciting things being said behind closed doors lately and we are busting at the seams to help make that information public knowledge!
As a result of recent events, DIPpeninsula.com will soon be spotlighting family oriented community events, development and redevelopment plans & activities, leaders & businesses within our community, photographs and whatever else we can share about the DIP Peninsula.
We know the people who live along “The Parkway” aka “D.I.P.” aka “The Peninsula of Mobile” aka 36605 aka “DIPpeninsula” have a long history and are ready to step up to make our community a better place to live and work as well as to enjoy the water, the parks and the bike trails.
When you have something to share, let us know.
We are here to help you speak up for our community.
We are here to give our DIP community a voice.
We are here to help our community write our own unique history and progress.
